Bio

The Dang Kids (Rehya Stevens, Jon Kubis, Gene Siegel) are a Pop/Rock group who formed in Los Angeles Ca., in 2016. Preceded by 10 years of working together in one of LA’s most popular top 40 bands, the catalyst for the group’s formation was a desire to create original music that showcased their obnoxious camaraderie and non-conformist attitude.

Each group member has acquired idiosyncrasies, neurosis and successes (independently and co-dependently) during their years on the LA music scene.

Vocalist/Singer/Songwriter/Musician Rehya Stevens has developed an overactive jive detector, alongside a somewhat peculiar obsession for her silver tabby Mackerel, Sebastian "Spock." Her credits include placements on CBS's "Doubt," NBC's “The Mysteries Of Laura,” CBS's "Unforgettable," TNT's "Hawthorne," The South Park X Box Video Game "The Stick Of Truth," MTV's "The Friend Zone,"  Hallmark's "The 12 Gifts Of Christmas," "A Prince For Christmas," "All I Want For Christmas," "Dear Secret Santa,”  "Christmas In Palm Springs,"  "Christmas Under Wraps,"  "A Perfect Christmas List," "Hasbro's "Moneyless Monopoly" International Commercial,   VH1’s  "Scott Baio... 45 & Single" and it’s sequel, “…46 & Pregnant.” Look for her blog (working title).

Producer/Arranger/Keyboardist/Musical Director/Crisis & Heroics Specialist & Musical Grief Counselor Jon Kubis is desperately seeking a coffee endorsement as an in-demand music man and father of 3 small children. He has been a staple of the Southern California entertainment scene for over a decade. He is currently keyboardist and arranger with Ray Chew Live, the house band on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and Showtime at the Apollo. Jon has also performed on ABC’s Rising Star, with the Red Hot Band opening for Katy Perry, Idina Menzel, Anita Baker, recorded with Reel Big Fish, arranged and orchestrated for Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, Bono, America’s Got Talent winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the award-winning film “A Beautiful Dreamer”.

Guitarist/Vocalist/Producer Gene Siegel is a traffic loathing professional musician, performer, and composer, serving the LA scene for 16 years. His credits include placements in films, tv shows and commercials including “Ticker” (with Dennis Hopper), “Full-Time Killer,” "Delta Force 4,” “Shark Attack,” Crocodile,” “Replicant,” with Jean-Claude Van Dam) “See What A Smile Can Do,” Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, Auction Hunters (Spike TV), General Mills Cinnamon Toast Crunch (“Umpire,” “Bodyguard,” “DJ,” “Video Director,”). Gene also served the role as music supervisor for “Diary Of A Sex Addict” (W/Rosanna Arquette). More importantly, watch for Gene’s new book: Zen and the art of L.A. Traffic”.

Currently, The Dang Kids are coming to terms with their unique issues while working on an album TBR very soon!
